Our first attempt At our opening sequence:
Photos from our first attempt:
We had candles to create low key lighting but where we had chosen our location for our first attempt the room was to dark even with candles so when watching it the footage wasn't clear enough.
Comments on our first attempt:
what was wrong with our first attempt:
In our first attempt at filming our opening title sequence we found that there was far to much dialogue, making it look like we was trying to tell more of a story which leaves the audience bored and loose interest quickly. We also found that in our first attempt we didn't use enough variety of shots and angles. Our shorts were to long which makes it look boring and again make our audience loose interest very quickly. We also kept looking at the camera just before the filming was stopped so when it came to editing and putting it all together it made it harder and was left jumpy at the end making it look unprofessional and unrealistic when watching it.
What we learnt:
From our first attempt at filming we learnt that we needed to break our shots and angles up with a different variety of them which will make it look more professional and less boring. We needed to use a lot less dialogue (stop telling a story) and not have it so scripted, we need to be more dramatic so our audience don't loose interest and so it isn't left looking unrealistic. We also learnt that we needed to speak louder as in our first attempt it wasn't clear enough to hear and was hard to hear what was said which also makes it hard to follow what is going on. We learnt to never look at the camera so next time it wouldn't look unprofessional and left jump.
